It’s important to note that Tommy James’ mother purchased him a $300 laptop while he was Houston to obtain a remote job (which he failed to do) and purchased him a $400 plane ticket to California from Houston upon his departure.

As of current Tommy is back living with his family in Spokane, WA. He has clearly stated that he never intended to in actuality “recover” from substance abuse or “get clean” in Houston. Basically he just was seeking a free meal ticket.
